Wallaby Junction

Ray Nelson: Creator, writer, character designer and producer

Flying Rhino was tasked with creating an interactive kid’s club for Outback Steakhouse. The program included a web site, menu, activity book, educational program and animated adventures.

About a hundred years ago a small wallaby named

Paddy Wallaby built a trading post & diner on the outskirts of Australia’s great Outback. The supply shack became known as “Wallaby Junction” & it garnered a reputation throughout the land as the last chance to “gear up” if you were heading off for an Outback adventure. If you were mining for gold, hunting for legend or hoping to climb Ayers Rock, Paddy Wallaby would be sure to take care of you. He would set you up with all the supplies you would need & then fill your stomach with some of the greatest food in the land.

Paddy is now long gone, but his grandson Paddy Wallaby II still runs the place. The small shack sees thousands of characters enter its doors throughout the year. The only thing more interesting then the characters that walk through the doors are the stories they have to tell.
